At Nida Art Colony, I continued my Mirroring Fields research. It investigates the interaction between mental landscapes, the present environment, and what remains intangible. I took the Curonian Spit as a physical metaphor for an in-between space. I combined newly collected and brought materials, turned them upside down and inside out to get into resonance with the ways human minds construct the world through mirroring and adapting.

The extensive walks I performed, looking into Lithuanian folktales and re-reading Hartmut Rosa's Unverfügbarkeit (Unavailability) helped me in attempting to temporarily inhabit various gaps and in-betweens. During the research-walks through the very human engineered landscape, I found myself surprised that the narrowness of the Spit was not at all as present as I had anticipated.
